Senior photos; a chance to leave an imprint of who you were that final year of high school, and a small stepping stone to entering adulthood. Dealing with lines, annoying peers, and photographers are just one of the many challenges that students face as they get ready to take their photos. However, for seniors, there’s another obstacle that they must deal with; tuxedos and drapes. It’s common for the seniors of the school to wear the outfits that LifeTouch provides, but some agree that changing the formal wear that seniors wear would be a welcoming change.

Enterovirus D68, which was first discovered in 1962, has become active after five long decades of dormancy. The virus is known to have similar symptoms to the common cold with added respiratory complications. While the illness is relatively harmless to strong-bodied adults, it still has a major effect on children and asthmatics.

When Michael Brown was shot to death by police on the night of August 9 with no warning from the officers, it set off a series of protests focused on racism and police brutality. This led to discussions on whether efforts to monitor police should increase to ensure they don’t target specific groups or act violently without reason.

Football team kicks off to the start of another good season

This year’s football team is off to a 4-1 start to the 2014 season after defeating the Kearns Cougars 34-0, the first game of the season. The Murray Spartans fell to a loss after the Warriors took the win with 17-13. The team’s first lost was against the Davis Darts with a brutal score of 33-0. The Warriors defeated the Olympus Titans by the score of 14-0. The Warriors would also conquer, a well known team in the State of Utah, the Alta Hawks with a final score of 23-17.

On Sept 9, Bungie released its newest next-gen game: Destiny, and has been released for the Playstation 3, 4 and the Xbox 360, Xbox One. Destiny is set in the distant future. The players are able to explore the ancient ruins of the solar system from Old Russia on Earth, the red dunes of Mars, the lunar base on Earth’s moon, to the exotic jungles of Venus.
