Horoscopes, a popular entertainment

Megan Breneman, Assistant Editor

Whether it’s once a year, monthly, weekly or daily, almost everyone has checked their horoscope at least once. Horoscopes range from being checked religiously to once in a lifetime. There may be a good many reasons one may choose to rely on what someone else predicts for them. Usually it’s because we like what we read and there’s a hope that’s released inside of us for that to actually happen.

The 12 Zodiac signs are those of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Usually a horoscope is foretold based on when you were born and what sign you are.  Depending on if you choose to believe your horoscope or not, they are usually a hoot and a half to read either way. Sometimes they can be spot on and other times they will be completely wrong.

It’s possible for people to build up an expectation of what they read so much in their head that it becomes a reality or a disappointment for them. If we read a horoscope and like it, this might bring a little bit of hope into our day. It’s also very entertaining for some when you read your horoscope at the end of the day and it’s pretty much close to being right on or with how it went.

Depending on the horoscope though, they don’t always tell you specifically what’s going on or going to happen in your life. Usually they describe certain situations and feelings you might be having and give some helpful or comforting advice.

Some sites that have horoscopes are astrology.com, psychicguide.com, and horoscope.com. These are just a few easy to find ones that provide daily horoscopes for viewers of all signs. There are many more out there though. Some may be more reliable than others, with more or actual research put into it. Others may just be a fun thing on their website.

So whether out of curious fun, belief or any other reason, checking or glancing at a horoscope seems to be a fun thing to do.
