Frightmares

Frightmares is a well known Halloween attraction and is very popular throughout the state. This year they have seven attractions: “The Spook-A-Boo” walk through, Scary and Crow’s Straw Maze, Fun House of Fear, 20 years of Terror, Zombie Lockdown, Nightwalk, and Pioneer Village Scare Zone.

On the website each haunted house has a fear rating, this is great in case you’re not too into being scared or in case you’re going with a younger kid. Frightmares is also great because it’s located inside Lagoon amusement park, for one price you get an entire day of rides and a whole night of getting scared.

Most reviews of Frightmares have been great. Praising the park and the Halloween attractions, however, some people don’t agree. Standing outside of the Fun House some people had been less than impressed by the house, “It was a waste of time. I stood in line only to find out that it wasn’t scary at all,” said Lisa Martinez.

If you’re interested in an entire day and night of fun, Lagoon tickets are only $50 for a single day pass. Through the month of October their hours vary;  Monday through Thursday they are closed, Friday’s they’re open from 5p.m. to 11p.m, Saturday’s they’re open from 11a.m. to 11p.m. and Sunday’s they’re open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
